How do you sell ISO 9001?
Posted on June 4th, 2010

I’ve been giving this some thought over the past few weeks. When the official website is launched and the business collateral is in place, I need to start selling my services.

A small part of me feels ISO 9001 should sell itself but a much bigger, realistic part of me knows it’s going to be a hard sell. I’m not overly concerned about the challenge of selling in and of itself. I’m more concerned about my sales pitch. What exactly am I going to say in 30 seconds or less on a cold call?

The topic came to my attention today in speaking to someone who works for a very large, global pharmaceutical company.  Essentially, this company no longer saw value in maintaining ISO 9001 certification so they dropped it.  The compa
ISO 9001 Elevator Sales Pitch

The elevator is falling down to the lobby, floor by floor. You calculate you have, at best, 30 seconds to explain ISO 9001 to a total stranger in a convincing enough manner that will entice him to ask for your business card.

GO!

How would you pitch ISO 9001 in 30 seconds or less?
